Arizona’s Homeschool Program | Thrive Communities
Thrive Communities is a homeschool drop-off program built to give your kids quality academics, experiential learning, and, most importantly, a place to belong.
Each week, we provide one to two days of enrichment that are fully covered with your ESA funds. Our K-8 and high school students dive into History, Science, Literature, and Art with paid instructors while you enjoy the day off. Whether you’re in the East Valley, West Valley, Tucson, or Northern Arizona, there’s likely a Thrive campus just a short drive away.
Is Thrive Right for your Family?
Thrive is designed for families who want the best of both worlds: the freedom of homeschooling and the structure of a classroom.
We are a great fit if:
✅ You want a "Mom/Dad Day Off": You need one reliable day a week to work, rest, or focus on other children while our professional teachers take care of the homeschool day for you.
✅ You want to lead the conversation on faith: We provide a safe, neutral environment that focuses strictly on academics, leaving the topic of faith in your hands.
✅ You want community, not just classes: You want your child to see the same friends every week and build real relationships.
✅ You value "hands-on" over "screens": You want your child building, experimenting, and debating – not sitting on a laptop.

Thrive Communities is fully approved for Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA), making it easy for families to use ESA funds for our program. We are a verified ClassWallet vendor, allowing for seamless direct billing without you needing to seek reimbursement.
ESA funds can be used to cover the full cost of the program, including:
Full Tuition

Not an ESA family yet? The ESA program provides approximately $7,000 per year per student to eligible Arizona families for educational expenses. Most Arizona homeschoolers qualify. We recommend applying through the Arizona Department of Education website to secure your funding.
Flexible Hybrid Homeschool Schedules
We offer two program tracks so families can choose what works best:
Track A: Typically Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays
Track B: Typically Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays
Hours: 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
This flexible structure works well for families seeking a hybrid homeschool schedule or enrichment classes once or twice a week. To see the specific schedules for each location, view our Campus Tracks.
Events, Field Trips & Socialization
At Thrive, students enjoy access to events and field trips throughout the year. Whether it’s a trip to the science museum or our annual bash at Hurricane Harbor, there is always something to look forward to.
We aim to provide the exciting opportunities students might miss in a typical school setting, such as walking in a parade or attending the school dance, but in a way that aligns with the values of our families.
Our Homeschool Curriculum: Classical Remixed
Thrive provides structured enrichment that complements your homeschooling journey. Our curriculum, Classical Remixed, blends the structure of classical education with hands-on, project-based learning designed to get kids engaged with the content in a stress-free way.
From making DIY batteries to modeling fusion, students conduct physics experiments, read age-appropriate classics, engage in discussions, and dive into immersive events such as our Egyptian-themed history festival.
We offer one or two-day per week options. Our curriculum is professionally mapped for the full year, eliminating guesswork and ensuring students continually build on prior knowledge. Families who attend two days per week receive a complete History, Science, and Art curriculum, leaving only Language Arts and Math to cover at home.
A Sample Day at Thrive:
Science brought to life with hands-on experiments and labs
History taught through immersive storytelling and debate
Literature that builds comprehension and confidence
Art projects inspired by culture, history, and creativity
Movement & Recess for healthy social play
Small-Group Activities designed to help students form friendships
For High School Families:
Our high school students enjoy a dynamic day of learning designed to promote a sense of community with their peers. All of our curriculum is constructed to help students develop confidence and find their place as thoughtful citizens in our world.
Students are grouped into grade-level cohorts and rotate to three classes throughout the day. Each class is 80 minutes followed by a break so that students can recharge and connect with friends. We offer a one or two-day per week option for students, featuring Inquiry-based Physics, History, and Literature, alongside electives like STEAM, Mock Trial, and Expressive Arts. Student Safety & Campus Security
Your child’s safety is the foundation of everything we do. We honor the trust you place in us by maintaining high standards of supervision and a strictly vetted, closed-campus environment, allowing you to step away with total confidence. At every Thrive campus, you can expect the following:
Background-Checked Staff: Every single teacher, aide, and staff member on campus undergoes a rigorous background check and vetting process.
Parent Background Checks: Parents or paraprofessionals who choose to stay on campus must have a valid background check.
Safe & Supervised Dismissal: We actively manage the pickup process to ensure a direct, safe hand-off between students and their parents or authorized guardians.
Closed Campus Policy: To ensure student safety, our campuses are closed to the public during program hours. No unauthorized visitors are allowed on site while students are present.
Trained & Prepared: Our leadership teams are trained in First Aid and CPR, ensuring we are ready to handle everything from a scraped knee to an emergency.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept ESA funding?
Yes. Thrive Communities is an approved direct-pay ESA vendor in Arizona. You can use your ESA funds via ClassWallet to cover the full cost of our K-8 and High School programs.
Is Thrive faith-based?
No. We are a faith-neutral program. We focus strictly on academics, leaving the topic of faith in your hands.
Is Thrive a homeschool co-op or a microschool?
We are a homeschool drop-off program (specifically an enrichment program) that offers the "best of both worlds" between the two models:
How we differ from a Co-op: Unlike a traditional co-op, we hire paid professional teachers and do not require parent volunteering. You get a reliable day off.
How we differ from a Microschool: Unlike a full-time microschool, we only meet 1–2 days per week to supplement your home learning, not replace it.
Where is Thrive located?
We have campuses in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Goodyear, Peoria, Tucson, Prescott Valley, and more across Arizona. Find a campus near you to see the neighborhoods we serve.
What grades do you serve?
We offer K-8 and high school classes statewide.
Can my kids start mid-semester?
Yes. We accept mid-year enrollments as long as there is space in the class.
How often do students attend?
Two-day-per-week-option: This option is recommended, as it will take history, science, and art off your plate so all you have to focus on at home is language arts and math! To enroll in a two-day per week option, simply choose a Track A day and a Track B day.
One-day-per-week option: A supplemental dive into the 4 subjects that we teach.
What curriculum do you use?
We use our signature Classical Remixed curriculum, which blends classical education with hands-on, project-based learning that gets kids engaged in a stress-free way
Do parents need to stay on campus?
No. Thrive is a true drop-off program.
How many students do you take in each group?
The maximum number of students we can take per group is around 20. Then, we start waitlisting students.
Do students get homework?
There are no grades or required homework. Families may extend learning at home if they choose.
What does a typical class day include?
Students rotate through History, Science, Literature, Art, and outdoor play in a structured, welcoming environment.
Does Thrive offer homeschool socialization and field trips in Arizona?
Yes. Socialization is a core part of our mission. Beyond weekly classes, we host a robust calendar of homeschool field trips, dances, and community gatherings across the East Valley, West Valley, Tucson, and Northern Arizona. Enrollment at any campus grants access to our entire statewide event network.
Are field trips included in tuition?
Some educational activities are included, while major events (like our annual bash at Hurricane Harbor or formal dances) require a separate ticket. We strive to keep add-on costs low so families can participate as they choose.
Can I use ESA funds for field trips?
It depends. Strictly educational field trips (like museum visits) are often eligible for ESA reimbursement, while purely social events are typically out-of-pocket. We recommend checking the Arizona ESA Parent Handbook for specifics.
